Lane width depends on your forklift and pallet, with clearance on each side. Rail spacing must suit the pallet bottoms, and import pallets coming from Bayport and Barbours Cut are not always uniform.
Depth follows lot size. A ten-deep lane for an item you buy in sixes never fills. Height follows the building, which can be 40 ft at Cedar Port or 20 ft in an older north-side park.
Guides, Protectors and Training
Drivers work inside the structure, so we recommend floor-mounted entry guides and upright protectors at every lane opening. At hand-off we walk operators through loading sequence, because rushed entries cause most drive-in damage.

Freezer floors bring their own considerations, and we coordinate install timing with your refrigeration contractor.
We also review traffic flow at the lane openings. Forklifts entering and exiting drive-in need straight approach paths, so we keep staging and dock traffic clear of the rack face.
